Submit your proposal as a Concurrent Session Presenter NOW!

Deadline: Friday, May 17th

Missouri school districts are looking for best practices and programs they can put in place! Public school leaders, Board Members, Superintendents, and Supportive Administrative Roles, are responsible for meeting the educational needs of all public school children. This responsibility includes advocating for sound education policy at the local, state, and federal levels of government. MSBA is calling for presentations that teach tangible ways to utilize tools, procedures, programs and best practices to effectively fulfill these responsibilities.

Submit your proposal for an opportunity to provide valuable content to this year’s Annual Conference attendees! Concurrent sessions run 60 minutes and will take place between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th. The Annual Conference takes place at the Sheraton and Westin at Crown Center in Kansas City.

Guidelines for having your proposal selected:

  • Submit by the deadline, Friday, May 17th.

  • Complete the form entirely.

  • Submit an engaging and intriguing session description.

    • Before starting on the RFP form, take time to write and review your presentation description for content, spelling and accuracy. Describe your presentation exactly as you wish it to be printed in the program for other attendees to read. Make your description compelling so that people will want to attend!

  • Identify learning objectives that can be achieved during your session. Attendees need to walk away with 3-5 key takeaways.

  • Know your audience – Missouri is made up of districts of all sizes and locations. The conference attendees include School Board Members, Superintendents, Board Secretaries, School Safety Specialists, and Administrative Staff.

  • Be unique! Find something you can present that most districts would not have experience with. Teach them something new!

  • Select a “focus” and make sure your presentation fits it. 2024 programming will equally represent this year’s themes. Options are:

    • New Board Members/Their First Term

    • Superintendents

    • Administrative Staff and Personnel

    • Safety in Schools

    • Legal and Policy

    • Advocating for Your District

    • Student Achievement

    • Community Engagement

    • Personal + Professional Development

  •  Companies submitting proposals: proposals must include a school district as a co-presenter and should showcase the impact a program or practice has put in place at the time of submission. Proposals without these requirements will not be considered.

We look forward to reviewing your presentation proposal for the annual conference. MSBA requires acceptance of the Terms and Conditions prior to the submission of presentation proposals. Please read the following paragraphs carefully.
