About MSBA
The Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) is a private, not-for profit organization. We live by our mission statement: Helping School Boards Ensure All Students Succeed.
Since 1936, MSBA has been the unified voice of school board members throughout the state. We provide training, policy support, legal assistance and other services to our member districts.
Governance
MSBA is governed by a Board of Directors (BOD) made up of local school board members from districts throughout the state. The board consists of the President, President-Elect, Vice President, Immediate Past President, K-8 Boards Representative and a representative from each of MSBA’s 17 regions. In addition, a representative from Kansas City 33, St. Louis City and Springfield Public Schools qualify for an automatic seat.
Each region is represented by a Regional Executive Committee (REC) that consists of:
Regional Executive Committee Chair
Regional Board of Directors representative
Advocacy Committee member
Leadership Development Committee member
Regional Delegate Coordinator
Each region is also represented by a Regional Delegate Team. This team includes the REC and the delegate from each member board.
