Leadership Summit
June 1-3, 2018

Held in June each year, the Leadership Summit is MSBA’s summer conference with sessions to help sharpen your leadership skills. The June Delegate Assembly focuses on the election of state officers and any proposed changes to MSBA’s Bylaws. The conference is highlighted by an annual recognition banquet. This year’s meeting is to be held at Tan-Tar-A Resort, Osage Beach.

Federal Relations Capitol Visit
June 26-29, 2018

Make plans to travel to Washington, D.C. to be part of Missouri’s Federal Relations Capitol Visit. The Federal Relations Capitol Visit provides an opportunity for local board members to have constituent contact with lawmakers at the federal level and to take an active role in championing issues that are important to Missouri public schools.

Registration Fee: $250 
(Registration fee does not include hotel or travel expenses)

Rooms may be reserved at Liaison Capitol Hill under MSBA’s special group rate of $239 (rooms are subject to applicable taxes).
Reservations must be made by Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in order to guarantee the MSBA rate.

Annual Conference
September 27-30, 2018

MSBA’s Annual Conference in cooperation with the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) is the largest gathering of education leaders in the state. Come connect, learn and engage with hundreds of attendees, nationally recognized speakers, over 100 breakout sessions, a trade show and awards banquet. The fall Delegate Assembly focuses on the adoption of advocacy positions that form the basis of MSBA’s advocacy efforts for the coming year.

The 2018 Safe Schools and Colleges Conference will follow the Leadership Summit in June. Submissions for presentations are now being accepted.

MSBA’s Safe Schools and Colleges Conference recognizes the Heroes Among Us Award each year at this conference. Don’t forget to nominate someone you know for the Hero Among Us Award to be presented at this year’s June 4-5, 2018, conference.
