  • MSBA Delegate, Federal Relations Network participant, REC member, etc. Individual demonstrates collaboration in a leadership role that furthers advocacy through actions such as organizing events with legislators, attending advocacy forums & meetings, testifying on bills affecting public education, actively participating in campaigns that promote positive outcomes for public education.
  • Individual participated in and promoted professional development activities related to advocacy such as a position on the MSBA Advocacy Committee, following specific CBM strands, attending SBOE meetings, Legislative Forum Advocacy Institutes and promoting opportunities for public education improvement.
  • Examples of actual achievements in advocacy through actions and leadership by the nominee with measurable or substantiated positive outcomes in promotion, advancement or protection of public education. Examples may include personal engagement with legislators, local or social media promotion of specific interest or impact and supporting specific student achievement through innovative advocacy methods.
