MSBA asks all member districts to include a brief discussion on the agenda in the next month about waiting periods for former district employees.

MSBA wants to know for your Board:

Some districts have had concerns when a recently retired or even terminated employee, or former administrator, has run for school board.  Should former school employees be required to wait a set period of time (maybe 3 years) before running for school board of the district they used to work for?  Why or why not?

Please discuss this in your Board meeting and provide your answers no later than October 31st to the September/October Delegate Question.
